Harris should never have left out the 997.1 GT3 RS.
Let's just leave it there.

I’ll take a 997.2rs all day over a 458 EXCEPT in a straight line.
The driver is about 75lbs heavier than me. We swapped cars for a bit and I’ll admit if I didn’t have my RS I’d be highly impressed with the 458.
Here’s a race between a 4.0 and a Speciale which technically makes it similar to a 3.8 RS vs base 458 when you consider the power and weights difference.

Same. Actually one less. Don’t miss the top two and haven’t looked back.

Oh......I forgot about this one. The 997.2RS is my favorite with the GT4 in second. Love driving these cars!

The 3.8 RS is the sweet spot with the right amount of hp and torque. You have to wind it out to get the most out of it. The 4.0 is great but I found it easier to drive because you can be more lazy. The 3.8 for the win.

Can't watch this Vid. The guy is unwatchable. 30 seconds in I had to shut it off.

As each rev and newer ones come out... more and more I realize what a special time it was when these cars were let loose on the street. There's many reasons they feel so spectacular and engaging to drive. It was a unique time when the cup / race cars and street cars were so-very similar and joined at the hip. Beyond a badge. The .6/7/.2 engine was raced and used in a street car. The new cars are technical marvels and faster etc... but these were as close to driving cup cars on the street as one could get. Meant to be three pedals, analogue and a stick your whole body/brain is fully-engaged. Sounds emo but they're truly special.

You can always fast forward to the race. The guy is definitely not Chris Harris. Point was to show the acceleration comparison.
