I've always gone on about the 997s...they are amazing. If I had to whittle my collection down it would be CGT, Singer, 997 4.0 and the 991 speedster...yes that's a lot of cars...I get that...but I could live with just those...I think...lol

My 981 GT4 is a forever car , but next add will be a 7.1 RS but only if I find a Kermit one , or a Barney 991.1 3RS .
I get most of what I need for an analog fix in my 964 C2 which is getting closer to 964 RS weight , not to mention the idea of 8800 rpm's out of a so-far , bomb proof motor in the 991.1 RS makes it my almost- ideal bang 4 the buck RS.

Maybe inflation will pave the way for me lol ; )

I am actually thinking about getting a 964 C2 or a 1970-73 911 hopefully sometime this year. I can’t decide between the two as I like the styling and feel of the long hood 911’s. But I hear so many great things about 964’s and I really like the way wingless narrow body 964’s look.

^^^tough call. 964’s are great. I parted with a 964rs this year. However, a well sorted 901 is my fav car I’ve ever owned to drive at reasonable speeds on street. They are slow, make no mistake. But they are so connected and fun/engaging going slow. Anytime I’m in one, I am shocked it is 50+ years old. You should own them both before it’s over.

long hood is 2-3x more $ than 964C2 of equal condition.
I would not buy a stock 964c2... it's boring
long hood is more entertaining.

Should’ve specified I am more particularly looking at 911T’s. I am leaning more towards a 911T as I like the styling better and they are a lot of fun to drive even though they are pretty slow.

I never cared for the rear tea cup spoiler that came on the 964 RS America , believe me, I wouldn't kick it out of my garage, but definitely prefer the lines of my black wingless narrow body 964.

Love my 73E RS clone 2.7. Built by David Loop. Early cars are a whole different animal than current cars.

I love the cars you mentioned. In order of driving enjoyment, for me it’s 997,964,991

964 all the way. So buildable, so nice, and set up properly, so fast and rewarding. I loved all 10 of mine over the years. I got over the long hoods once I understood just how good the 964's are. Just ask Rob Dickenson. He chose the 964 platforms for his Singer cars... Awesome piece of kit!
