Congrats on the pickup, lived in Tampa many years (most recently Davis Island).

Default White GT3

Correction on mods....Not KW V3s as PPI reported....Techart suspension, judging by markings on spring. Can anyone identify the set up? Should be out of shop on Mon after both coolant mods accomplished and LFW installed. Not had opportunity to look at it closely. I know it has a German aftermarket axle lift kit on it, presumably Techart system. PPI shop got pump to run, but system is inoperable according to shop owner.

Don’t know how all this affects PASM...? Will have to see how or if any hydraulic lines are attached.
And if not, how good are the Techart coilovers on their own merit?

Thoughts are welcomed!

Can’t comment on the suspension but I can on the car.

Beautiful! Congrats. 👍

I could be wrong but don't think Techart made dampers for the 997 GT3. Possibly Techart springs and KW/other dampers? They did make dampers for many other 997 variants and I think their nose lift system was for the 997 Carrara 4's and GT2/GT3.

LMK if you need part numbers - I have a pdf of them all somewhere.

Default New to me 997 GT3: Suspension

Thanks Matty- Got it home on Mon and have not lifted it to look at setup. PO did not include wheel-lock key so need to go to dealer to deal with that and then I’ll take some more pics... In contact with second, third, and fourth owners, but not the first that actually did the mod...
Thx
LR

pdf attached. If you go to page 30 you can see the different suspension components and car compatibility. Unless I'm reading it wrong, no dampers for the GT3 at least as far as this catlog is concerned.

Default Knowledge on 997.1 GT3 TechArt nose lift....

Solved stripped wheel lock drama, so able to get more access today. As suspected this is a Techart suspension including currently INOP nose lift. Have read a number of PASM threads. Appears that even though the nose lift is INOP, PASM is still functioning or I’d have a warning on dash that it isn’t....

Would like to get nose lift running, but key control module is missing and don’t know reason it was disabled in the first place...in photo module should be mounted to upright bracket. Thanks to whomever sent me doc on nose lift system to figure that out....!

Anyone with experience? I suspect that even if I end up taking out weight of pump valves etc, I still have a quality suspension. It sure does ride well and I CAN tell a difference between normal and sport for suspension....I would have to cap the damper somehow, but suspect that might be a mess and potential to dick-up the damper completely....

The techart nose lift kit came with front and rear springs and helpers. I think you will find that your dampers are the cars original Bilstein PASM dampers.
