This has been discussed at great detail in the 997 GT Cars for Sale Thread that is sticked.

Any and all information anyone can provide on this car would be great. Is the owner on this forum? Maybe BBI can chime in they built it. On their instagram it shows they did a 4.25L motor, but CNC states nothing about it.

I'd be willing to bet it still has the same engine. BBi does great work. I've met Betim a handful of times and he's a very knowledgable and over all a friendly, good guy. Although I've never owned a car with BBi mod's, there are a lot of BBi worked on cars driving around Southern California and I've never heard anything off. They have a solid reputation. The builds they do for Pike's Peak are always monstrous and record setting; as in 2019 they set the TA1 record with a 991 Turbocup GT3 and placed 2nd over all. I'm not a fan boy or BBi strap hanger but they are doing something right over there and it shows.

Receipts for work in CNc listing pictures. 4 liter build. Odd that someone would spend all that money on a build then sell 200 miles later.

If you look at the photos I thought was the same car the plates are different. BBI stated the motor was rebuilt when I called but wouldnt give details so might not be a 4.25 @BBiAutosport is the only one that has the answer

It would be strange for the seller not to disclose an engine build, especially if the result is stronger performance. One scenario might be that the seller doesn’t want to talk about circumstances that necessitated a rebuild..

They own the car it must of been a trade in of some kind. I wonder if they dont have the receipts for the engine. I cant believe BBI wont disclose their work or much about the car. You would think they would be excited to see the car go to someone in the rennlist community and want to help a memeber of the porsche community. I was always told they had great customer service.. They were not very helpful at all.

It’s really not bbi place to disclose they don’t own the car.
ask if they will pass your info to previous owner for a call back.
