There’s a blog post on Bbi site dated April 3, 2020 that details “street cup“ build.
Engine is not touched. 4.0 intake only.
Lots of other good upgrades.
Receipt on for sale ad appears to be for a street cup build.

When I called BBI today they said in 2018 the engine was rebuilt after that receipt but would not say anything about the rebuild or if it was upgraded

I appreciate BBi’s discretion here. A shop shouldn’t give details on a car without the consent of the customer.

I call Ferrari of Seattle on my last purchase and they would tell me everything that was done to my car. They just wouldn't provide anything with the customers name on it or their personal information. My car they had no problem getting me all the records.

I agree with this and have had experience with a bunch of Porsche dealerships doing the exact same. Love that car though, followed their blog on it for a bit. Price seems quite high though IMO.

BTW, The car has a 4.2L motor that is very fresh.

The owner moved to a new platform, hence sale.

OP if you're interested in the car just put it on a flat bed to BBI for a full inspection. They will be very transparent with the setup on the car and what it would need to be suited for your intended use.

@Spyerx Is the owner on this page at all? Do we know if he had any issues with the build. Build specs on motor is important.

I think if youre serious, you should flatbed the car to BBI for a shakedown.

Agreed with Spyerx. Call Charles at Bbi and ask them to do the PPI. You will learn plenty about the car build and its current condition. Bbi knows their business and I would prefer to have the original tuner inspect and inform me on the state of the car.

Just being devils advocate here... If you'd like to do extra due diligence, I would also have a separate PPI done that isn't affiliated with BBI. Since BBI is behind this car, they might have incentive to show it as the better than reality. BBI seems like a great shop and this isn't a personal attack on them, just a point to be made regardless of the shop.

This is a lot of car for someone looking to buy a completed build. The receipts total to $81k. On top of this, I’d guess BBi’s 4.2 build would be In the ballpark of $50-60k.

That’s funny that it’s under assumption that it’s ok for BBi to not disclose anything about the build but towing it to them and paying for the PPI then they would then provide more info. Lol.

I don't think you quite get it do you?

Look, if buyer was serious he'd have paid for an inspection.

there are some ppl here who been playing GT3/RS car for a long time
paid a lot of tuition
asking on RL will not help
if you want the car, I would get a PPI, no need to be Bbi, anyone competant can do it
once you developed a reputation, information will flow to you. no need to ask
until then, it's very hard to get straight answers except doing your due diligence
not being difficult, but that was my personal experience in the past
