997.2 GT3 RS Guard LSD Worth It?

I definitely have some significant tale wag at the beginning of my braking cycle coming into T12 at COTA. It's manageable because you know it's there and it's dead straight. Other very high speed braking events that you're also trail-braking make it a bit more of a butt-clencher. An example off the top of my head was on TWS going clockwise coming into T15 from the banking.
That said, I really don't want to compromise the feel of my car on the street. Over time I've done too many changes to my cars that were strictly performance enhancers just to find out I drained some of the driving enjoyment out of them. I like the suggestion by point2point of just upgrading the existing unit with OEM Motorsport clutch plates.

Slight hijack of this post!
Just fitted a Guard LSD ( stamped on the side CLUB ) unit in the 997.2 GT3
a couple of things we discovered :
bolts for the flanges are too short, we had to make some as 85mm doesn't work! so machined up some 95mm
a kit of shims would be handy too! we had 2.4 in the right and 1.9 in the left if the factory LSD which is JUNK
shim 2.4 was damaged slightly as it seemed to have been rotating with the bearing.... not good! needed to be faced back flat then added some brass shim paper the old school way!

Burning Brakes
I recall in my previous 7.2 RS, GMG installing either a Porsche Cup LSD or maybe Cup LSD plates; not sure 100%. But whatever they did, the car felt perfect. Good turn in and powered like a dream out of turns; you could actually feel the diff working. was a great track upgrade that didn't compromise stock look. Cup shifter cables as well.
