My 20k figure was from Sharkwerks but it depends on what the goal is. With mods the sky's the limit. I wouldn't try to build a track spec 964 but a more capable version from stock. Maybe shorten up the gear ratios for some extra torque, more shifts and put in a decent suspension.

jerseyboy, sharkey does a great engine mod. that will blow your 20k alone

boosted toy and spyerX are both graduates of remedial math...
boosted is way over 20k, and spyerX at 40 muhahahhahas.... I will buy tony's C2 back and ship to u with 40, you bring it back like your, deal?

 

As with any 964/993, your going to have to budget some "fun" money.

Thinking engine rebuild on 80k mile or over. Under that maybe play with the 3.6 for a while. That was my initial thinking but clearly that changes day to day.

Basically when you get a 964, the 3 people you do not message for advice is Mooty, Spyrex and Boostedtoy. They will drain the bank account. I will say, I love my 964 now. Aside from a regear it’s perfect.

 

So true Greek! BUT I got exposed to the joys of the 9972RS by Mr. Mooty. Best recommendation ever so it's hard not to take thems advice. I already have a list of mods to consider for when I score a donor.
