The GT4 wheel is a great option as well. Comes stock without paddles!

I just tried to place an ad (try to advertize the Alcantara/ Carbon hand brake) without succes....??

I get this message:

Just now seeing this thread for the first time. Put me down as one who sees this GT4 wheel as a nice improvement over the 997 wheel. Huge Improvement actually. Assuming I keep the car, at some point I intended to thicken the wheel among other modifications to it but find myself thinking that RAudi Driver's comment is an interesting one and food for thought. I don't favor the car's light steering and thought a thicker wheel might improve the experience for me [I love it in my other cars] but my thinking could very well be backwards.

FYI the GT4 / .2 GT3 style wheels are modular with interchangeable parts. Important thing is to get the GT style wheel (360mm) versus the larger but same style wheel that comes on the Macan / Panamera, etc.

but paddles are easily removable or added, multifunction and heating can be easy or more work depending on what your car has to begin with.

That modern GT4 style steering wheel would look great in my 997.1 GT2!
