I took the engine builder’s recommendation on the rods. The forged steel rods are stronger than the stock titanium rods. I believe Sharkwerks also uses Carrillo steel connecting rods with its 4.1.

Admired the Ranger RS and met its owner at VIR last weekend. Now there are two 4.2 GT3s resident in NC!

Porsche Perlon is the best. Very durable. My GT3 / CGT seats are Perlon and were from a ROW Clubsport dated 2007 and they still look great. The Perlon GT3s and Perlon 964/993 Clubsports are my favorite seats.

As a footnote to this thread, we designed new camshafts profiles for these engines which are available through Dundon Motorsports. Also available from Dundon are Crankshafts, lightweight steel Connecting rods, Pistons, Cylinder liners, Cylinder heads, solid radius Camshaft followers, Valve springs, head studs etc. Most of the engine assemblers mentioned here all use the exact same parts from the same supplier(s).
I believe Dundon have the largest 'custom" product list for these engines. All of these parts are levels above what is commonly used in many of these engine upgrades. Along with Dundon, the 997 is pretty much completed with regards to performance parts. The 991.1 is almost completed and we are involved in the 991.2 engine now.
