What would you guys pay for a higher mileage 997 GT2?

Toss that numeric shifter in the trash (or sell it), and get a factory short throw shift kit that is a factory option for the GT2.
The last thing you need in that car is a shifter that forces you to think about the shift and upset your rhythm especially since you have a 3RS.

I realize you didn't ask me but I've been thinking about it a lot. They are extremely different cars, and thus the end result is that you feel differently about them.
The 3.8 RS is playful and alive all the time, at any speed. It is the ultimate dance partner, and I feel like it always gives everything to make you shine.
The 997 GT2 is more like an on/off switch. It's happy to putt around, but switches to KILL mode in a much more dramatic way when you enter the power-band. The brake pads I have (Pagid RS27) on steel discs make for a different experience here and I'm warming up to the Numeric Racing shifter but I feel that my GT2 takes considerably more mental effort to drive than my 3.8 RS (which is completely stock except for a SharkWerks center muffler by-pass). I just set the shifter on the longest throw setting and prefer it much more, and feel it's still a shorter throw than the OEM shifter.
The GT2 feels like a more serious proposition, and one that doesn't suffer fools...but I'm saying that more as someone with a bit of seat time rather than someone who has become the fool! I have not overstepped it's considerable boundaries yet, but feel that things will be pretty serious if I ever do.
Very different cars, but both truly MAGNIFICENT!

finally did the same - but my journy home was just 520 km, but it was raining cats and dogs.....
Bought a 997 GT2 with 52.000km on the clock, german Porsche approved warranty (meaing no bad over revs in category 5+6).
Absolutly love it, and its a perfect addition to my C6 Z :-)

Well said. I’ve driven the GT3RS a lot faster than I’ve dared to drive the GT2. GT3RS feels more predictable with a nice long power band. GT2 has a ton of power that just comes on instantly, which I think will take some time to get used to. GT2 exhaust is pretty quiet, GT3RS is very loud which helps connect you during the drive.
even yours is crazy nice. Midnight blue.
Here in Europe there are roughly 30 cars for sale, some with the clubsport package which means seats with fabric instead of Alcantara....
there is 1 in speed yellow, but out of my range and all others are black.... so I was really lucky to source a GT silver one, by incident :-)

Steve, I love the photo is documentary! Your car is SICK. Enjoy your baby. I'm glad a GT2 went to several enthusiasts here. It's so nice not to be on the wrong side of a flamethrower. These cars are super special. JBO

My insurance company wants me to send photos and comparables for value, so I'm kind of searching around right now.

Here is my first GT2, an early 2003GT2 the day I picked her up new with my wife and I still have it despite many life challenges...
This is the only photo I have from back then.

The Seal Grey was an 02 with every 04-05 cosmetic mod. There are very few 04-05s and none are Seal. I'll bet my life that's GT Silver. Arctic and Polar and others were super rare in the 997 era. It's GT Silver no doubt. JBO
