Default e88 fitment issue - help

Hi all,

I recently purchased a set of e88s, they look great but unfortunately have an issue with front wheels fitment. The inner edge of the rim is rubbing against the spring - 2nd coil up from the bottom. The wheels were advertised as Front-18x9 et50 Rear-18x12 et63.5. What are possible reasons for the rub or next steps should I consider - get an alignment/check suspension, get 3 or 5mm spacers? Wheels are clearly not spec'd as advertised, contact seller...? I have 07 GT3. Thanks in advance.

That's the front right yes? Does the front left also rub? If not, I'd get an alignment first.
What's your current alignment?

Few questions:

1. Are you running a spacer on the front? If "Yes", did you put it on after you found out it was rubbing?

2. Is your center front or back mount.

3. Can we assume that your tire is also rubbing as your third and fourth coil up from bottom is clean?

Then all the other questions the previous members stated.

Hi JFL503,

There is some fitment information here on BBS rims: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...t-numbers.html

Perhaps something there can help.

Check YouTube for how to measure the offset.

I bet it is higher than 50 which is stock.

I recently purchased a set of e88's from a GT3 and I had to use a 5mm spacer on my C2S to clear my Ohlins springs also. Not really a big deal.
