Looks great. I have to assume it's their lock nut. No way to get that much torque out of a rechargeable torque gun is there? Must be some type of multiplier in there?

From what I have been able to determine, you have to use the HYTORC wheel nut.
The wheel nuts are still under development and are not available for sale yet. I think that
it is pretty cool that somone is working on alternative solution for the Centerlock wheel torquing
proces. It does look very easy to use!
A friend tracks his 991 GT3 and has to go to the dealership to put on his track tires.
He doesn’t want to buy the regular torque wrench, so I’m sure that he will not buy this one! Lol!

I would think the regular torque wrench would pay for itself after 2 or 3 trips to the dealer having them swapped out, however maybe he just doesn't want to do the work, which is fair. This tool looks really nice, but I have to say that if I was going to spend $4000, I would put that towards the 5 lug conversion. If this gun and a set of 4 nuts could be had for $1,000 to $2,000 I would think it would put it closer to the category of must have / throw away money.

Cool technology. Could only justify the cost if I were a dealership. Think torque multiplier might be the best option.

My brother, Reid, works for HyTorc. Amazing tools. These tools can go up to 5,000lbs! The one for the centerlocks should be up the 700 lbs model. One man operation. These guys helped rebuild the WTC and new Transportation center in MNYC. This should make you feel good...

Well I took the plunge and I have zero regrets so far. The current version that's available has a delrin reaction arm and uses OEM centerlocks. I think the original version with the HYTORC centerlocks and adapter got scrapped because costs were too high. I prefer using OEM centerlocks anyways.
Without breaking a sweat I can get the centerlock from hand tight to fully torqued including the torquing sequence (tightens to 600nm, backs it off 60° and then re-tightens it back to 600nm) in less than 50 seconds. It makes pad and wheel changes a breeze now and I won't have to do my janky method of setting up a pole to press the brake pedal anymore lol. Definitely a nice quality of life upgrade for those that work on their cars a lot
Here's a video of it in action
