Do you know if the cam actuator bolts can be checked with the engine in the car?

I remember seeing a thread at one point that said it is possible. IIRC it said that you need to remove the exhaust to get to the cover??

I was wrong, reply #548 by Tom at TPC. I guess there are oil lines that cover the cam covers. Not to say that it can't be done with the motor in the car, but probably not easy to see. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...07-gt3-37.html

At what mileage does the coolant line usually fail?

It varies from what I've seen. I have a friend whose coolant pipes let go on the street at 19k miles and another who has a heavily tracked GT3 with 40k miles with no issues yet.

It varies widely. A friend's 997.1 GT3 with very little track time had its pipes go at just 10k. It's a game of Russian roulette.

Looks like the rear main seal was leaking and needs to be replaced. One more thing to the list:

I spoke to a friend who is a tech at Porsche, he advised pulling fuel injectors and send them out to be professional cleaned and benchmark spray patterns. And to have intake cleaned.
We are going to do a leak down test to ascertain health of valves. If necessary may do valve adjustment or maybe valve job pending what leakdown indicates.
Sounds like your Porsche tech is not a Porsche Mechanic.

Mods are addicting.
You will want to use them and find their limits.
Ask Spyerx.

when you can remove them with your hand. The failure happens when they come out, but usually they fail wayyyy before.

valve adjustment is actually smart. That's preciselly the reason why so many ferraris stop running as fast or in some cases never run as fast as they should.
