--Is your car a 3.8 or 3.6?
--If your car is a 3.8, checking the cam actuator bolts is good preventative measure. BBI and a few other shops have techniques and bolts available for this
Do you know if the cam actuator bolts can be checked with the engine in the car?
I was wrong, reply #548 by Tom at TPC. I guess there are oil lines that cover the cam covers. Not to say that it can't be done with the motor in the car, but probably not easy to see. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...07-gt3-37.html

At what mileage does the coolant line usually fail?
It varies from what I've seen. I have a friend whose coolant pipes let go on the street at 19k miles and another who has a heavily tracked GT3 with 40k miles with no issues yet.
I'm doing almost exactly same thing
I spoke to a friend who is a tech at Porsche, he advised pulling fuel injectors and send them out to be professional cleaned and benchmark spray patterns. And to have intake cleaned.
We are going to do a leak down test to ascertain health of valves. If necessary may do valve adjustment or maybe valve job pending what leakdown indicates.
Sounds like your Porsche tech is not a Porsche Mechanic.

valve adjustment is actually smart. That's preciselly the reason why so many ferraris stop running as fast or in some cases never run as fast as they should.
