That's a clean report. I get level 3 just over blipping sometimes. I'm sure I have a thousand level 1.

Does that mean over 9 years the car has only been revved to the redline 54 times and average 6 times per year to the redline?
If that is true I am definitely not complaining

I believe that means that it's had 54 revolutions over its life in that band. So even better.

That's 54 ignitions...meaning each time a plug fires. At redline there's over 400 ignitions per second. So this car has seen the rev limiter for a very small fraction of a second it's whole life and that rev event happened almost 400 operating hours ago

I thought range 1 meant it was over revved beyond the rev limiter, here it is: greater than 9000 but less than 9200.

http://www.911virgin.com/porsche/rev-range-information/

RANGE 1 Maximum engine speed exceeded; engine damage very unlikely.
RANGE 2 Maximum engine speed exceeded; engine damage unlikely.
RANGE 3 Maximum engine speed exceeded; engine damage possible.
RANGE 4 Maximum engine speed clearly exceeded; engine damage probable.
RANGE 5 Maximum engine speed very clearly exceeded; engine damage very probable.
RANGE 6 Engine damage has generally occurred.

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...ev-ranges.html

so range 1 is definitely more than just bouncing off the limiter. I’ve bounced the limiter and I have zero range 1 over revs. It’s important to note I bounce limiter due to delay in upshift. Range 1 likely logged when blipping throttle, grabbing down shift gear, letting clutch out slightly early meaning engine still spinning a little too fast still for the down gear. I make it a habit to get my braking done first or as much as possible, then heel toe grab down gear and let clutch out. Doesn’t affect laptime and mitigates risk of over rev.

Operating hours are important. If that happened a while ago and the car still runs fine then likely it’s fine. Get comp test to if it makes u feel better.

Thanks ex10psi: Another Rennlister also Pm'ed me the same link and I am the glass is half full type so range 1 only looks good to me. I am just in awe of how it effortlessly revs to 8500 rpm!!!
