This looks awesome. I'm in the process of building a home, and have similar plans to what you did (and similar cars). Do you know what your floor to ceiling height is when garage doors are up? I'd like to ensure I've got the right ceiling height in the planning stage, vs alterations later. Thanks in advance!
I am at 121 so just a hair over 10 feet. another 12 inches would be ideal and would take the lifts to the max.
I had the same issue compounded by the fact I had a room above the garage that I didn't want to protrude into. I ended up having a framer come out and cut a rectangular hole and install big beefy beams to support the 14" beams that had to be cut. We then create a sub-floor support using 2" x 2" thick walled steel tubing on 9" centers to replace the cut out beams. My son in law who's a mechanical engineer modeled the deflection and strength to come up with the design. I re-laid the upstairs floor and then sheet-rocked, textured and painted the garage ceiling opening.
Wasn't cheap or easy but was better than storing the car offsite somewhere.
I love this! Just figure out a way to make it work...
