Maybe I am delusional about our cars and maybe the 991.2 manual has had a more serious affect on the market than I expected but there are like 1000 of these cars in the USA how the hell or these cars going to bloody "CarMax Auctions". How can the desirability of these cars fallen so much?? Anyway sorry for the morning rant.

That's a REALLY good question. They recently had a 4k mile pristine 997.2 GT3 RS. They bugged me to register so that I could bid on it, I sent them all my dealer paperwork, got everything done, and somehow still wasn't registered to bid and nobody could tell me why. I lost interest in trying after that.

The seller commented that he needed to sell it quickly. There have been a few similar examples sitting on the market here for months before getting serious action. It was likely a simple time/value equation for the previous seller. Maybe carmax gave them 95k on the spot, seems like a good move if that was the case(I have no idea what carmax paid for it)
Yup that's correct- needed funds quickly to close on the RS deal. I had my car on sale here for rennlist for a couple weeks but kept on getting low wholesale offers and eventually got tired of the tire kickers.
