Extra throaty exhaust during clutch engagement

I read that in one of the threads on this but can't personally test it since both of mine are .1s. It's literally a 2 min job to remove the switch and tape the plunger closed to test it. Go for it and let us know. Check the clutch-out starting and cruise control shut off functionality along with the general driveability and let us know.

yes I could. It was more linear and more like a traditional manual. Unfortunately I won't be keeping it that way.

Well, I finally got around to the simple mod of bypassing the clutch pedal switch, as described in this (and other) threads: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ay-switch.html
The exhaust note tone is now consistent throughout the rev range, and throughout the clutch pedal travel. No throaty, farty sound at all. It seems the audible difference I was hearing was due to the retarded timing during clutch pedal use. I definitely like the sound better this way.
However, as one would expect, starting off from first gear is bit different now. It really feels much more like a "difficult" sports car, which is good I choose to drive a manual transmission sports car because of the intimate physical relationship between human and machine. To start off smoothly, it now seems the car wants a bit more revs and gas pedal, or a bit slower clutch release.
I'm going to try this out for a little while, but I anticipate keeping it this way. Curious what percentage of 997.1 MT owners have done the same?
