Does This Build Sheet Justify $
Hello.
Starting to look again for either the right 997.2 or a 991.
This one has 25K miles but due to this rather robust set of options (see build sheet), price is at $66K. It's a dealer but wondering if this set of options justifies such a premium price. I don't really care about ceramic brakes, for example...and while they are an $8K option, do they push pricing high in resale like this, etc?
Thanks so much!

That's a nice option list.
Doesn't matter what the dealer or we think. Are those options worth 10-15k to you? That is about the difference for a typical .2s low mile.
If so.. cool...

That said, while this will be a car I'll keep for some time, it'll be one in a very long line of vehicles that I've owned in my lifetime and when I go to sell, just don't want to overpay for options now that won't carry the overall value in the end. Yes, purely analytical in the face of an emotional buy really. Gives me a headache...ha. As you said, $10-$15K delta and for $48K in list price options, thats strong depreciation on some very cool 'stuff' (which is a good thing for the buyer).
Thanks again!

it is a rare car, but look at it on nada and you see that options dont increase price. after nav, pdk, bose, etc there isnt any more value increases. the dealer didnt pay any more for it.

I would say if you really like all the carbon fiber, it's a respectable price. I personally would rather have all that stuff in leather... not a huge fan of carbon in Porsches for some reason. But it's < 50% of msrp, which is good for that mileage.

I say it's priced high. That's more than I paid for my GTS with 26k miles on it last year. So as far as I'm concerned the build sheet definitely does not justify the price.

I want to change my answer. I would not pay that much... period. But like someone said above, if you just have to have pccb and like $10k in carbon fiber, I guess it might perhaps be a good deal.

When building my car I consulted with the gang here on Rennlist and I wound up adding some things that I had never considered before.
The things I like the most? Full leather, adaptive sport seats and switchable sport exhaust. (Also like the short shifter but that car is a PDK car). I also really like the PCCBs. At 105,000 miles I'm still on factory brake pads.
