Default Mothers Speed Foaming Glass Cleaner

I came into a can of this stuff for free. I've tried it out a few times now, and I have to say it works really well.

My car is a Targa, which means I've got a lot of glass surface to clean.

I used to use Optimum no rinse to clean everything, which worked well enough, but this Mothers stuff is much better on the glass.

Simply spray it on the glass, wait a minute, then wipe off. Glass is shiny clean, with no streaks.

I haven't seen it in stores yet, so you may need to mail order. I think it's definitely worth it. They have a winner with this product.

Hope you all find this helpful, especially the Targa owners.

How well does it work on the inside? I've yet to find a technique or product that makes this task easy. Somehow the inside "window grease" is hard to remove.

i agree... My technique is a very very light spray of Stoner, then wipe with a big dey towel... Seems all you really need is the towel.

Peace

You need specific automotive glass cleaner.
I'm like bruce, a stoner guy. Clean dry towel, spray and buff.
There is a lot of plastic in the interior of a car.
Lots of off gassing, plus the crap blowing around from the filthy city.
I have a lot of mothers products. I will have to keep my eye out for the glass cleaner.
Washed and de-scummed two cars yesterday. It will rain for sure in the next 24 hours.

Is the Mother's foam safe on tints, for those of us with tinted windows?

Thanks! The big towel is something I've yet to try.

Works well on the inside also.

Yes, see the label on the bottle (or on the website). Specifically states it's fine for tinted windows (mine are tinted).

waffle weave micro fiber, I tried them all, and it's really the towel that makes or breaks the window cleaning, I have used the waffle weave with a few cleaners, but prefer Stoners aerosol. Autogeek has the towel in a three pack, does not disappoint in almost any circumstance (would not use for super heavily soiled windows)

I've used Wurth Glass Cleaner since my 924 days - can't beat it for stay-in-place foam and plasticizer cutting.

A trick for glass is to use a crumbled up page of the Wall St. Journal - high quality prose, paper, and mostly B&W ink. But, any local paper will do.

The paper is sort of micro-abrasive and highly absorbent. For interior glass I spray a small bit directly on the paper and apply that way to minimize drift.

Wow, didn't realize that Porsche made a cleaner also. Does it void your warranty if you use a non-Porsche cleaner?

Ezinternet is right. I've not found any towel that is as good as crumpled up newspaper. Use a page with a lot of black and white print. Turn and re-crumple often. Wear a rubber glove if you're cleaning a lot of windows so your hand doesn't get black.

It's particularly effective on the greasy film you get on the inside glass. Doesn't leave streaks.

Porsche does not make the cleaner, but for interior cleaning it's the best I've tried. I do not use Porsche window cleaner for outside... Horses for courses. And no, I do not own PAG's stock.

I have found that glass cleaning is about about technique and only minimally about products. A decent cleaner and two 'rags' - use the first rag with product to clean the window, use the second clean rag to buff any streaks or remaining product off.
