Default 997tt P0018 (Cranskshaft Position-Camshaft Position Correlation)

Hey guys, I've got a friend's 2009 997tt 3.6 that is misfiring on cylinders 4,5, an 6 and also is throwing a p0018 code for Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2). Car has 67k miles on it. My first thought is that it's either the cam sensor or the variocam solenoid on that bank. To my understanding the variocam solenoid can be switched out and re-diagnosed to see if the problem has switched to the other side. I will also be replacing the coil packs and spark plugs which ive done on the 3.8tt, but first I want to address the P0018 code. Has anyone come across this issue or seen anything common in relation to that code?
Or is there anything further I should be aware of? All feedback appreciated.
-Mike

I suggest you post these questions in 997 Turbo Forum, yes some of us experience camshaft out of position issues. There is a long discussion on this topic, cost of repair could be $8k up. Some known Indy able to pin it in position, the search button is your friend. Good luck

I haven't been on here in ages, didn't see the 997 turbo forum until you mentioned it. I reposted there. Thanks!
