How can you be so sure?

Looks like it would act like a parachute when deployed causing serious instability up front.

Well, has anyone seen the Singer tail? This one looks similar to that as well and the Singer has a clean front end. Wonder how that works?

DO NOT ORDER from this website. I got one, it didn't fit properly on my 997 GTS (2012), and he wouldn't even respond to my email for 4 weeks until I started posting video online of how it didn't fit.

Please post your vid links - that's a big claim which deserves some evidence I'd say

Calvin, have you tried adjusting it by enlongating the holes? We just test fitted my friend'd wing and it needed a slight adjustment by us enlongating the holes to fit perfectly. Its to be expected with some carbon fiber parts. Have you tried taking it to a shop yet? Instead of whining about it on all the forums, try finding a solution to it.

My friend's wing also rubbed a bit when we first tried it on. After making slight adjustments(slightly drilling the hole to make it longer), it fit perfectly.

I know I'm resurrecting an oldie but this company seems to be out of business. Does anyone know of a company making a flying ducktail for a 997?

Bayson R Motorsport sells them on Ebay. I think they're replica.

I got the Bayson R wing a while back and ended up returning it. It needed a lot of work to fit and it didn't have the third brake light provision for when the wing pops up. The grill is all fiberglass and my sample needed a lot of work to get to a state where I would be comfortable using it on my car. The OG flying ducktail uses a metal grill instead of fiberglass. The Bayon R is only ~500 though compared to like 1200 for the Flying Ducktail when it was available. I've seen a couple of the Bayon R ducks finished and they look good from the photos but the grill always bothers me. I might revisit again but at the time, I wasn't prepared to take on the amount of work needed to finish it but it seems clear that the Flying Ducktail is dead so there aren't any other option these days.

Here are the photos of the piece I received. Def needed a lot more work if you want the TBL provision added and a good looking grill. https://photos.app.goo.gl/whBGgacvQpBSxVgTA

That grill is an atrocity. The wing itself looks decent. I'd remove the entire grill and fabricate one using aluminum bar and gutter guard material and have it powdercoated so everything is smooth, even, and straight.
