Default My first Porsche: 997.1 C4S X51 w/PCCB's

Hi all,

I've been daily driving Audi's and VW's for the last ten years, and saving to buy a 997, which I knew I had to own since the day it first hit the market.

When VW offered to buy back my latest (and diesel powered) daily for more than what I paid for it after racking up huge mileage in just over a year, I decided to step up my timetable...so thanks to dieselgate I started my search in January.

A couple of months of searching later (and thanks to a certain thread in this forum) I found the perfect car.

I contacted the owner and I knew that it was the right car. He took incredibly good care of the car. In the pictures it looked brand new despite having almost 80,000 miles on it. The engine runs beautifully as well. No signs of IMS or bore scoring issues.

So, I flew up to San Jose with and bought one of the most immaculate 997's I've ever seen. I took the long, windy route back down to SoCal the next day.

So here is more info on my car:

2006 Carrera 4S 6MT

Cobalt Blue
Sea Blue Full Leather w/Sport Seats
Rear center console, switch package, steering column in leather
PCM telephone handset in leather
X51 (factory installed)
PCCB's (dealer installed)
19" Carrera Sport Wheels
Bose
Nav
Sport Chrono

MSRP: $123.8k (not including the PCCB's)

Newer clutch (10,000 miles on it)

It also dame with the following aftermarket upgrades:
TechArt VarioPlus coilovers
TechArt steering wheel
All leading edges (Nose, edges of doors, mirrors, rear fenders) wrapped in clear bra.
Two low profile Genesis amps mounted under a false floor in the trunk.
Focal mid speakers and crossovers

I've been so busy driving it, I haven't uploaded more pictures than this! I'll get more posted soon.

I love this car so much, I'm still having a hard time believing a found it!

Congrats. Sounds like a great car. And looks lowered from that angle.

Yes, it's pretty low. I may have to raise it a tad..

Beautiful car.... congrats! I'm in the same exact situation, but haven't found my 997 yet. Dropping off my Passat TDI on April 12. Can't say no to that deal. On a related subject, tdiclub is much quieter these days!

I'll bet it drives better than the VW diesel

And that is really a pretty car... well done.

That blue exterior is beautiful and looks like a very nicely optioned car.

Check out TPC's DSC suspension module and it will turn those Bilsteins into a fully active suspension based on G-forces and let you customize the stiffness and rate of stiffness increase for both modes.

Yup, it's just about perfect! I'd rather it didn't have the PCM telephone handset though. It seems a little silly.

I'm seriously thinking about DSC Sport. Aside from that the only mods I'm considering down the line are ducktail spoiler, Fuchs and aerokit front bumper. My gf REALLY wants me to get those!
