Default How patient should I be...?

I've been on the hunt for a little while now, but haven't exactly found what I'm looking for, or even much that is close. How likely am I to find...

Musts:
- 997.2 S Convertible
- Manual
- Heated Seats (I'm in the northeast!)
- Not black or silver

Nice to haves:
- PSE
- Interior other than black

Is it too much to ask for!? ;-)

Thanks!

Seems simple enough. I think the hard to find item there is the Manual.
The release of PDK seriously out a damper on the availability of manuals.
How are you searching? Have you talked to a broker?

I've been looking at Porsche Certified, Car Gurus, Auto Trader, eBay, and a few forums. Am I missing any big ones? Craigslist?

I hadn't considered a broker before. How does that typically work? Fee is a % of car price?

I saw the numbers and thought it might be a fool's errand and that's why I posted! ;-)

Took me a year, and it was well worth the wait.

The search is half the fun. You also didn't specify how long you've been searching and how wide of a net you've cast. Good luck.

I'm with you as well. However, I think the numbers are legit based on my experience finding one with decent miles/options. I gave up on the color long time ago. Even my local Porsche dealer is having a hard time with 997.2. Since last November only one 997.2 was for sale and that was a Guards Red (which I really do not like, don't ask me why because I don't know) MT 4S Targa and it was sold in one day.

Wow. That's a unicorn. 1 in the country on autotrader... brown. What about gray? That opens things up a bit.

Try allofcraigs or adhunt'r in google. They should both link up to Adhunt'r. It searches Craigs List nationwide. Ive used Trovit before and it will send you daily updates when cars become available.

I was looking for similar (no stories) car as you in color preference White/Yellow/Green but all I was finding was the most popular colors Black/Silver.
After relaxing my color and excepting Black I found my car within 1 month on CarGurus.com in Thousand Oaks.

Get a silver one and wrap it any color you like. When (if) you find the one you really want, pull the wrap (or not) and sell yours with absolutely no new paint damage or wear.

It depends on what the car will mean to you.

If you have been saving your whole life, don't compromise as much. If it's just another nice car, you need to make some concessions.

Quoted for truth. Get what you want, its your money and dont settle. Youll just end up selling it prematurely.

It's been about five months. What concerns me the most is that I haven't even found much that is CLOSE to what I want!!
