I like the grey! There's a nice, low-miles CPO in FL, but it's low on the options front.

Great suggestions. Thank you!

11 Months - that's how long it took me of active daily searching with cash ready - found the exact spec and pounced. 8 years later still driving the dream.

The one I dealt with was a flat fee. If its a percentage of purchase price, there's no incentive to haggle the price down for you.

I hadn't considered a broker before. How does that typically work? Fee is a % of car price?

I just found something that matches your criteria and it took me 5 minutes. Not sure if I would buy anything from this kind of NJ used dealer but they are out there.

Keep looking. Looking is at least half the fun. Unless you need a car to drive, no compromises.

I looked for about 6 months when I was searching for a 997 turbo. I had some similar requirements; I wanted a 6MT, and a color other than black, silver, or gray. Then a car that met or exceeded my expectations popped up at a dealer close to me. I bought it the day it was offered for sale. You have to be ready to move quickly when the right car comes along.

So based on the comments, I should buy now, wrap, wait, look in more places, or just buy new ;-)

I'll keep looking. Thanks for the emotional support.

And if you see one, please let me know!

I know what you mean, ScootsS! I've also been looking "seriously" for a few months...although not a long time compared to some stories here. I do enjoy the hunt, but I'm pretty confident I'll enjoy having one in my garage and driving it around even better! My criteria are not at all rare, but still no joy yet. Working on one at the moment but who knows. It will happen!

Scoots, mine is exactly what you're after. Found it at RAC in Dallas -- know them forever and trust them as much as you can trust any dealer. They're out there! Don't settle!

Matter of fact I just checked their site and they have an '07 S cab manual. It is Black but has a nice tan interior... I like the black - mine is dark blue. price is good - low miles. Not a fan of the lobster claw wheels, but that can be changed.

Thanks, but I'm after '09 or newer. Have my heart set on a .2 for no good reason! ;-)

If your budget is unrealistic you will have to compromise.
