You can remove the PCM unit and send to Becker Audio for diagnosis and repair. Had this happen on a Cayenne once. Took a few weeks to get the unit back. Cost was something like $500 which was about $2500 cheaper than a new PCM. Porsche dealer won't repair it. They will only replace it. Do a google search for Becker audio.

I don't think it's the PCM. But could be. All the components listed stopped working. BUT they have come on and worked but shut down again.
Can't see spending 900 on the outdated PCM. Rather just put a Pioneer Apply Play deck in. Only need a head unit for streaming anyway.

Car sat for several days. Started up and the stereo worked just fine. Stopped at destination and it stopped. At random times I hear the unit doing something. Then it resets itself and does not seem to want to work.
I'm accepting that the PCM head unit is the issue as the Amp works. Doubt it's a looses connection. Very weird that it just stops working for no reason. Really blows.
So it's either get a used PCM somewhere or get a new head unit.

Funny, same thing happened to me: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ick-clean.html
Except I was wiping around the xm module (after my usual hand wash though). I'm looking for loose connections for now...
