Default Ceramic Coated or Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tips

Looking to change my exhaust tips on my white 997.2S. Black should be a better compliment to the car vs the stock polished tips. Debating between having originals ceramic coated black or carbon fiber aftermarket. Anyone running the carbon fiber? Look cool but have only found stock photos online.

Picked these up at a local salvage yard....they had a 997.2 Akrapovic exhaust system that was pretty mangled and I bought the tips.

They are CF barrels with another CF housing.

I had mine powder coated, no ceramic at the recommendation of the powder coating shop. Have not heard a problem with it. Still looks great after 5 years.

We offer both Polished Chrome and Black Chrome Tips for the 997.2, and the Black Chrome is quite popular. Here are some pictures for your reference

I installed PSE about 2 years ago and the exhaust tip covers came in light metal grey. The inserts are coated from the factory and left them as is in black. I had the exhaust tip covers ceramic coated in matte black. The exhaust tip can be easily disassemble for paint coating.

Due to the heat and cooling nature of these parts, advised to ceramic coat vs powder coat. Attaching pictures before and after. Could not be happier and the attached shot of a coated tip was taken today after two years of use.

Great thread and some awesome exhaust tips. I have a 3.6 stock exhaust. What size tips would fit? I know the 3.8 tips are larger so wondering what size replacement I should consider.

thanks much

I believe FVD make a fitting that will let you mount 3.8 tips on your 3.6. Or go to a muffler shop and they can probably make some fittings for far less than FVD.
