I have the 991 tips and had them ceramic coated black, about 18months ago. They hold up really well especially given the FVD / M&M Sports exhaust which creates a much shorter exit path (meaning the gasses are quite a bit hotter than default as they exit the tips).

Emc2.. at first glance those look like the 997 base tips. What's the difference from the 991?

When I installed my RUF rear bumper with matching tips, the exhaust shop didn't have stainless welding rods. They suggested I use a high-temp clear paint over their welds to keep them from rusting. Bought the highest temp clear from Auto-Zone which has some ceramic content and it has held up fine, and this is on a single walled pipe right after the mufflers, so hotter than a double walled tip would be. My point being, you could just paint them with this paint and you should be good.

The clear is over these welds.

Also refinished the OEM Cayenne Turbo S tips using the same paint - gloss black insides and outside this metallic cast iron color which is a pretty good match for the OEM color if not even a little nicer shade. (These are actually for sale in The Marketplace if anyone with a Cayenne 955/957 is looking for an upgrade).

The 991 tips are larger and have a different shape (see below). As a result they fill the opening on the 997.2 much better

Had mine done back in 2012. Holding up with no issues. See link: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-pse-tips.html
