997.1 around $40k
997.2 around $60k
991 around $70k
I think that says something about the 997.2's longer term potential for appreciation compared to the 997.1 and 991.

Just enjoy driving your 997's and 991's and all the other beautiful models that preceded these. If it holds value then great, if not, then it was still a great investment in fun. That is what life is all about :-)

I must say I enjoy reading everyone thoughts on this topic.I have currently owned my 2010 C4S Cab now for a bit over 4 years. When I purchased it, it had 5K miles and now I have 31K miles.
My original plan was to buy a 09 S Cab but then came across my car that was highly optioned 2010 C4S Cab (around $134K sticker). I really enjoy my car and I think the only car that could tempt me would be the new targa.
I am looking forward to taking my winter tires off soon to put on the summer shoes.

Well I'm gonna need another 997. Rather it stay a 997, and keep the 991 upgraded electric everything everywhere to the Cayenne etc. Just very interesting to see what costs what...and in the meanwhile I'm whipping that 997 around and having a great time. My finances changed quite a bit so I would like a TIGHTER 997.2.

I agree, but I also get these threads. We all want to know got a good deal and our cars are worth something (I read these threads too and always wonder if i overpaid and if the arithmetic will work if I wanted to move "up" the Porsche chain...) I think that's human nature. The important thing is not to lose focus on the fact that we are privileged enough to drive a PORSCHE NINE-ELEVEN which any way you slice it is pretty damn cool.
