I currently have a 997.1 C2S with Tiptronic but my next car will be a Base model 718 Cayman with 6 spd. I test drove a 2017 Cayman 6 spd from Park Place Porsche (Dallas) and I really enjoyed the the car. It is somewhat of a downgrade in the sense of status but the performance numbers are in par if not better than what I am driving now.

With all the time I spend watching TV shows about custom cars I got my dream car. Kind of a GT3 tribute since I love the fried eggs but they were not legal in the US at the time.

99-01 Silver 996 - 6 speed with aero kit (best looking 911 ever IMHO) - can't decide between AWD or RWD. Now heres the kicker - after getting bit by the IMS once (hence the 9a1 I now drive) - it's going to have a Raby rebuilt motor.

Still in the dream stage, but look every day for a candidate. I got my list of must have options and still have not found the right car.

I'm not planning on selling my GTS. But I'd like to get a 991.1 GT3 next.

I bought mine in August of 2014 and love it

Ever since moving to FL I drive it more and every time I get into the car I still have a big smile

I would love a GTS with MT

but I am content with what I have for the time being

One of my really good friends is getting ready to sell his '04 GT3. PM me if you want to get in touch.

I daily drive my '07C2S and have no complaints at all. I love it as much as I did when I picked it up in 2010. I also track a 996GT3.

BUT... I made the (intentional) mistake of spending 1.5 hours thrashing a 991.2 GT3 at the Porsche experience Center last weekend and have been blinded. I anticipate I will own one of these in the next 2 years... It may replace the 996 or perhaps even both 911s I currently own.

The only 991.2 that maybe worth brand new would be GT3RS when it comes but I simply can't afford or be important enough to Porsche to order one!
Must be one w/o PSE, I can't comment on that, every 991.2 that I drove had PSE on it. It sounded fine, I have aftermarket exhaust on both of my Porsches and personally I prefer it quieter now, getting old.

I think turbo cars can sound so much better.... you just have to change up the stock exhaust configuration... bypass pipes and you are in the money for an amazing sounding car.

1. 997.1 C4S M6
2. 991.2 C2 M7 PASM PSE

I find the C2 with manual trans the most engaging of the current cars I've driven. C2, C2S, C4 but I will have to let someone else eat the depreciation.

My next 911 as in a replacement or in addition to?

My 997.1 C4S is currently my daily driver, even though I don't commute daily. And as I get older my work demands are such that I won't have to commute much. So if that were the case, I'd love to get a hold of an 86-89 930 Turbo if prices ever come back down to sane levels again.

Dedicated track car next. Not sure which incarnation of 911 I will go with.

Will keep my 997.2 C4S indefinitely for daily driving as it has been the most satisfying Porsche I have owned. I do about 5000 miles per year and am at 30000 miles so lots of time with this one left.
