The Smoking Tires just uploaded a new One Take today featuring an 06. He liked it a lot.

We all knew this, do we need an article to confirm this.

997S was my first 911 and it was everything I ever want in a sport car, a few years ago it was still luxury sport car prices. Today, 997.1S going below $40k is very very affordable for all enthusiasts. You can't go wrong with one of the last hydraulic and almost analog driving experience of the most iconic cars in the world.

That's why I just picked up my 997 a month ago. Love the steering and having the NA engine. Plus I love the fact it has slightly smaller dimensions. Just getting some cosmetic work done (interior/exterior) and PSE installed later this week. Can't wait!

997's are on the best values in the Porsche world. Only a matter of time before prices start climbing on good examples.

Sorry for creating a double thread.

OK I'm in the right one.

I really enjoyed it - thx.

A very "honest" and "fair" review without too many strange comments.

It's kind of what I felt the first time driving it and still do. I enjoyed the video even more since my car is in winter hibernation.......

997 series hold my favorite 911 examples (several) - very likely the only series I will shop in the future too.

Well said, and the same reason I bought mine last month as well. The end of an era for sure and I'm happy I get to experience it.

What a coincidence-I bought my first Porsche last spring and it looks like the one in the article. It's a '07 C2S in Midnight blue with lobster forks and Tiptronic. It has been a fantastic ride but I wish it had come with Sport Chrono. I'm used to the twin clutch transmission in my A3 and so I'm dreaming about a 997.2 with PDK.
