Default GT3 Shifter vendor?

In the video, they mentioned a GT3 shifter. Does anyone have vendor information for this part?

Suncoast has them. TRy their website, but the Numeric is better. All metal and no plastic. Cup teams use them. I had one on my 997.1, going to get one for my 997.2 this week.

+ 1 on the Numeric Shifter. A few users have upgraded from the B&M short shifter to the Numeric and have been happy with the upgrade. I need to upgrade to their cables one of these years also.

I had the Numeric cables installed too. But I had the dealer do them. I did the shifter myself though. The mechanic that did my cables said in a heavy accent, its iz verry stiff no? Yes it was and I liked it that way. With the cables and the shifter, it felts like the old days of actual shift rods doing the work, not bendy cables. If you ever drove a car from the 60's with sturdy shift rods, you know what I mean. Very mechanical and precise feel.

I have the numeric shifter already - how much of a difference would the cables add?

Agreed with everything said so far. My first Porsche was a 911SC at 28 years old. then came a slew of 964's and a 996. I was without a 911 for a decade then decided to get another. 991's were a little out of my fun car budget, I felt I had already scratched the 964/993 itch and hated the 996 interior.

The 997 is the perfect evolution of the 911.

997.1 S can be had for $40k. Good luck finding a clean 997.2 S at $40k. That is why I bought a 997.2 base last year, as a clean CPO S was still at $50k.

I'm still happy with my "starter" 911 though.

Isn't the Numeric a MUCH more expensive piece?

I first installed the Numeric shifter in my track car and then, about a year later installed the Numeric cables.

IMO, the difference in the stock to Numeric cables was just as significant as the Numeric shifter was to the stock shifter. The cables really firmed up the shifting feel with absolutely no play in the system. (I also have upgraded motor and transmission mounts) Each shift is as precise as a bolt action rifle although I'm not convinced the cables are a great upgrade for a street car. I like a buttery smooth shifter on the street. The Numeric setup is certainly not buttery smooth or forgiving.

Just installed a B&M knockoff shifter and the Numeric cables. The added stiffness is significant. Much more direct link to the gear box. The way they attach at both ends affords more adjustability and a rock solid connection. Something the stock cables are lacking IMHO. Also the stock cables have been known to break which leaves you in a tough spot.

Do you use your car on the street or track or both?
