The "purist" in me would not like that. But then again, a purist would not be at a SEMA show looking at an original anything. BTW, I have a Sharkwerks bypass and love it.
That's the whole point. Bring radical ideas, even with the most coveted of marques, to show interpretation, innovation, and scratch an itch you didn't even know you had.
How many of you have anything aftermarket and not original spec in/on your car from wheels, to aero, to LED interior lights? Guess where all these aftermarket ideas come from?

Yup. What he said.... That new Kremer thing looks gastly....that sema build has a lot of potential with a few tweaks.

I think that SEMA crap looks pretty cool. You could make some minor changes to the body kit to make it more street friendly and not so extreme but not bad - esp the colour

A kit for the ricers that hack up a 997 with half *** bodywork skills, is this at least a 3.8 Carrera S, or just standard 3.6 Carrera? I am sure this is out of the same camp as the infamous hack/scam creaminz build.

The Champion car is done really well - in a different class than this Japanese one. I liked the Champion car so much, it's why I went with their RS171 wheels on my RUF 997 with the spokes that curve out from the center hub - not quite as awesome as theirs on this super widebody, but as close as I could find to the look I really liked. I saw the car in person at their showroom in FL. Took a cellphone pic and the way the light was coming through the windows and creating angled shadows on the body was pretty cool.

So as a 997 owner you wouldn't walk around this car 15 times if you were at sema?

Back rear bumper is bad... Concept is very cool. Rear flares are excellent. Need to see more 997 chopped up into unique builds. More then enough of them without fear of killing off a legend.

997 needs a wide body kit from someone IMO. Not as fugly and expensive as Liberty Walk, RWB doesn't make for the 997 but if did likely too over the top. Someone just needs to
Look at the champion Motorsports rsr build and build a wide body fender extrusion kit in this theme and would be a huge hit....

This slant note build as seen here in the right color I think would be neat..... Red or black car with gold lm BBS wheels etc

I should hate the Porsche SEMAmobile. I really should. I have better taste than that, honest.
And yet: I like it. Attractive, in a 'staring at a surgically enhanced girl at the beach in an inappropriate swimsuit' sort of way. Wrong and inappropriate, and yet…somehow appealing, nevertheless.

Looks like a two inch tall bump on the road would rip off the front lip. In reality, this POS body kit is useless, its good for still photos. Thats it. The rear with its JC Whitney fender arches tacked on with sheet metal fasteners is equally stupid. They may as well add some neon under carriage lights to it. I vote crackpipe.

I'd like to see this kit with a traditional 997 front end. These fenders flow better than the Liberty Walk body kit. Less vents and notches in my opinion. I like the look.

People say they wish there was a nice wide body kit for the 997, we'll there are actually 2 , and guess what, they are Porsche Motorsport parts, not hacked up riveted on garbage cans.

Porsche RSR and GT3r. Both aren't a simple bolt on, but done right will look better than any aftermarket attempt for the 997.

If if you are going to do a widebody, either do it right or don't do it at all.
