Default Red Calipers for Base C2 2009 997.2

Okay, I did a search this time, however I'm still not clear what is the best option. Goal: Cosmetics only. I'm happy with my break performance, I just want them RED. I have a powder coat guy at my disposal. Is powder coating the most cost effective way to accomplish my mission? How do you get the PORSCHE label on after powder coating?

THANKS AGAIN !

I'll let others answer regarding the best way to have the calipers painted, but here's a link where you can buy the stickers for the calipers (no affiliation):

the red calipers are bigger on S and turbo cars, you can paint them or powdercoat. you can get the letters on ebay too

I recommend getting them powder coated i've had both done and the powder coating held up the best hands down.

How much pre powder coat disassembly was done. Also did you have then sandblasted prior to powder coating.

Thanks

The brake guy totally dis assembled them and then used walnut shells for the media blast.

I have heard others never dis assembled prior to powder coating and all went well.

Here are some pics of mine, these started out as crusty old 930 FB calipers.

Woo hoo a search. Good progress!!

How much do u want to spend? Do u like doing stuff on ur own?

I painted my own on my 993 and no one could ever tell the difference - $20 and a few hours. Stickers on ebay. Lots of guys have done this

Or u can get someone to do a full disassemble, powdercoat etc and spend $$$$

And PS, powdercoating is not the most cost effective obviously if you go the DIY route. Lots of threads on this on the 993 board as its the same process
