Purchased this unit but was disappointed it does not perform a service reset. Only oil service reset. Not really worth the cost IMHO. Durametric here I come...

I thought any service showed up as "service now" and you can reset to 2 yr, 20k with this PORii ?

Updated my PORII today using a friends windows 10 computer and it worked as advertised. I reset my oil service indicator but not sure what interval it uses. I loved the convertible top scan and steering wheel calibration options.

can you please tell me how did you reset the airbag warning light? I'm trying to do so on my car but I just came find the "AIRBAG" module on my POR II icarsoft tool, its driving me nuts!

all... got the POR II... when I connect it to the car it sort of runs through a bunch of tests and they all say fail... when it is finished I scan for error codes and says there are none... is that normal?

The iCarsoft kits won't work on the 996 & 986 cars for systems like ABS and SRS AIRBAGS.

I have tried and tested an alternative which works on both 996 & 986 for these systems and is shown in this link here http://www.diagnostic-world.com/page...7&p=121453.cfm

This just happened to me as well. Sellers on Amazon are definitely just shipping random packages. They sent the iCarsoft MB-II (Mercedes benz) not the the iCarsoft POR-II. Something fishy is definitely going on. That or Amazon's RFID or QR code scanner can't distinguish between the different devices.

I ordered one a couple weeks ago from Amazon and got the right one.

Any idea if this unit will help bleed out the PSM unit? There is a function for PSM actuator test, I assume this would do it but would rather not be the guinea pig

I was so happy with my Land Rover I carsoft, I got one fro the 997. I hate it when you have a glitch and it latches so that every time you drive the car, you have to stare at the red !. Cleared it out in 2 minutes.

Yeah i reordered from Amazon and the right one arrived this time. I used it to clear ABS light. worked like a charm.
No idea how how to bleed out the PSM unti or what that even mean :-(
