Those are Champion RG5 wheels, close to $6K for a set of four. Forged as opposed to the cast stock wheels so much stronger and lighter. Of course, none of that matters if you don't like the looks of them and if you don't they'll be easy to sell or trade.

Agree, a bit much for a 997.1. Very nice car but still has the IMS and not DI. On the other hand if could not resist the deal and those were 19" wheels I do happen to have nice Carrera S wheels I'd trade.

Every aftermarket wheel I have ever encountered were substandard to be honest, but maybe some company makes a good set. I do like the looks of them. I like the whole car. Wish it was an '09 Carrera S instead, but it is what it is. The guy says he is 79 years old and only put 500 miles on the car. I'll bet a wheel or two are bent, but I would have to check them. Maybe I will look at it and make an offer. It isn't going to be ask.

No disagreement.....lots of crappy after market wheels out there but Champion is not one of them. No affiliation but I've had two sets. One just like the RG5's that's on the car you're looking at and also a set of RS98's. Build quality and finish is right up there with the best you can buy and they're forged so much stronger and lighter than the stock wheels. Here: http://www.championmotorsport.com/Se...ts.asp?Cat=248

and....http://www.championmotorsport.com/product-p/cms-rg5.htm

If you still want stock wheels you should be able to trade the RG5's and pocket some $$ once it's all said and done.

Champion wheels are top notch...I would look for a .2 for that price.

Are those 20's? Champions are super light and strong but those look ghetto. Looks like it should have a couple 12" subs in the back seat and hydraulics.

That car has been popping up in my craigslist searches for 2 years now. Always thought that it looks nice, but a little expensive.

'08. No IMS. Not DFI but as an '07 owner....so what? Still a nice car with low mileage.

08'is an M97 motor, not a MA1. Check it out. Promise. Just saying $ for $ why do it? I did before ( '06 Cayman 3.4 M97 motor ) and worked out just fine, no problems at all. I think most knowledgable P car folks would always go with MA1 over M96-M97 and pay a premium to do so. I sure did. Due dilligance and all that.
