Anyone learn to left-foot brake with PDK?
My question got buried in the main PDK thread
Now my Q is, has anyone learned to left-foot brake to help stabilize / setting the car's balance through corners? Has it improved your cornering? Pleasure?
Will the software do something stupid like cut the power or ignore your gas pedal?

Good question, because some automated manuals lock out the throttle when the brake is pressed. Little left-foot brake tricks can screw things up royally. To cure it in my Audi, I had to get an aftermarket tune.
Good to know the PDK isn't preset to weenie mode.

Left foot braking is fine in cars that have competition harnesses but doing it in a car with just a street seat belt is asking for your entire weight to be suddenly and unintentionally pushed onto the brake, causing unexpected or wanted over braking as well as loss of control of the car. Very light application can be tried for trail braking to help rotate the car but for most occasions (in an automated gear box and no competition harness) the left foot is best used to brace youself into your seat so that you arms and back are supported for controlling the car.
