Can you adjust dynamic lighting?
My upper projector or low/high beams are fine, I'm talking about the lower halogen lamp that is only there to provide 'fill in' illumination in the short-distance area below the main bulb when the Xenon has been raised into the hi-beam position. Otherwise, there would be a dark void just in front of the car when you use the hi-beams.
The fill in is pointed too low.

On the 997.1, you can force the auto-leveling function of the headlights to recalibrating by:
1.Key out of the ignition, turn the headlight switch all the way on
2. Put key into the ignition and don't depress the clutch (MT) or brake (PDK)
3. turn the key all the way to the right.
Headlights should drop down and lifting back up to the correct level.
Not sure if this procedure will work for the 997.2 adaptive lights or not, but might be worth a shot.

My 2006 997.1 only has the upper projector. Driving to work this morning at
4am, I turned on my high beams, the road just in from of the car was lit and
visible with the high beams. Switching to low beams the fogs were on and road
was visible. I always wondered why some 911s had the two projectors and mine
was a single. Original buyer took the cheep route? Is this an option that was not
chosen by the original owner of my 997?

Nope, the adaptive headlights weren't available until 2009 with the 997.2. On the 997.1, the self leveling Xenons were the best offered, so he didn't cheap out. If they're not appearing to be aimed properly, follow my instructions in the thread - mine work great. You can install the 997.2 lights into a 997.1 but the dynamic aspect won't function.
