Default GTS questions on options - thanks!

GTS owners I'm looking at some GTS's.
My question is do they all come with a mechanical locking rear diff ( I know the 4GTS does)
Do they all come with SPASM?

I could not find these answers,

Thanks!

No the RWD don't come with LSD as standard.
No they don't all come with SPASM standard.
They do come with PASM standard.

You'd think those two performance oriented options would come standard, but they don't. So, if you come across a RWD GTS coupe with SPASM and LSD, know that it's a rare and desirable car. Both are must-have options, IMO, unless you plan to mod the standard PASM suspension. I jumped on mine because it had both of those options (and more). The lower SPASM (or SPASM height) stance is just about perfect, and really makes the overall package.

Also note you can order LSD without SPASM. My car is PASM WITH the LSD. Didn't need SPASM springs since I planned to drop it.

thanks for the help NWGTS with verifying the vehicle I was interested in did not have SPASM or LSD.
I think the LSD is the most important item to have since you can put different springs in a PASM vehicle.

Weird that the "GTS" model did not have these standard...
I'm fortunate my 2010 4s has SPASM and since its a 4s comes with LSD. (sport chrono plus also option can't live without on PDK). Guess I'm still on the hunt for perfect GTS or 997.1 Turbo!
Good deals are out there just need to keep looking. I'm in no rush to buy at the moment.

I write this same thing a lot; it is only a data point from a couple of pretty good sources. - who would be August Achlietner (Director of the Carrera product line) and Excellence Magazine. These are their words, not mine. They conclude that the 997.2 GTS is a more desireable car without SPASM. In fact, Achlietner stated that the GTS was never intended to have SPASM when it was developed. It was an available as an option and most dealers and buyers thought that more (=SPASM) was better. IIRC, they concluded that the GTS was a fine car with SPASM but without it it was uniquely distinct from the 2S variant.

In general, a 997.2 GTS (2011 & 2012) with SPASM will come with a LSD.

I had to check through my dealer...they inquired through the Atlanta office...My GTS did not come with an LSD...I installed the GuardLSD for 997 PDK (its smaller)
