Default Black Lug Bolts

Does anyone think these black lug bolts will deteriorate with frequent (2-3 times a month) of removal and install?

https://www.ecstuning.com/News/Porsc...012/ES2598487/

My original ones are OK, but looking tired. I'm tired of the locking bolt and was going to replace 4 of them from the dealer, but decided maybe I would get a new set on each corner.

Since my wheels are anthracite I was thinking of going with black bolts. If they will wear out fast and turn silver, I might as well get silver.

Never mind, I'm pretty sure the black bolts will get trashed in a month with my frequency of removal and intstall.

If you are looking for black and concern with trashing black lug bolts by frequently removing them. Do what I did, purchase these and look great on black wheels. These are for a 2011 Carrera S. Do a search on Pelican Parts web site. Hopefully the link below is accessible.

If you don't want your lug bolts to deteriorate so fast don't use a impact gun to take off wheel bolts or to thread them on.

Just got to Home Depot and get a can of black spray paint, it cost less than $2. Grab a piece of cardboard, cut an X and stick the bolts in there and start spraying.

This is what mine looks like.

Choose your color.... Hand tightening and no impact wrench helps too.

The Titanium lug bolts from World Motorsports are exceptional. I have them on my Cayenne and both 997s (1 uses bolts and the other nuts). No risk of finish damage as they're solid Titanium, but they're silvery, not black. Would look great with Ynot's HRE wheel logo though.

Black caps from Amazon - and non-security lugs from Suncoast- so far, working like a champ.
