I was dressed for work this morning ready to get in the car and head out. Next thing I know I found myself getting out the hose to spray off my car in the dark thinking my neighbors must think i'm weird and I hope my wife doesnt think I have a hot date.

In the past 3 months (with less than 1000 miles driven), I washed my 911 once. I am not crazy about keeping it in show-room condition. I clean the inside more often than the outside. It's dusty somewhat but not dirty.

I like my car clean. But the Meteor Grey doesn't really show dirt much so I can get away with over a week daily driving without feeling like it has to have a wash. My black audi looks dirty within 3 hours or so of me washing it and I want to wash it again.

My car is only dirty after it has just rained and then I am on it right away. Wouldn't matter what I drove--my car has to be clean! Had many black cars through the years. Best colour but a real challenge. White is a breeze. Doesn't show the dirt or the swirls.

Actually white isnt a bad color for dirt, that, red & Silver hide road grime fairly well, its darker colors that show more. Swirl marks are less noticeable as well on white. I had a black Vette 10' GS that I needed to clay bar to get the swirls out, on my 15' Gray Z51, the factory paint was awful and full of orange peel, I used Maguires quick detailer on that all the time and never developed any swirls.

I like my car to be clean as well whenever I take it out. Pretty much wipe down my wheels after I finish driving the car for that day or weekend. Just something I've done it since I was in my teens because I started out with a black car with black wheels. Hated how it looked dirty and wanted to take care of it.
Just like the look of my car clean more than I hate actually cleaning my car. Pretty much everything at my house gets cleaned once a week or depending on how dirty they become. Even the wife's car.

Started yesterday morning nicely detailed. Last night ... the windshield was cleaned twice during the day.

I tried to change when I was more into sailing. An old timer told me that I could either sail or spend the day cleaning my boat (after driving the six hours to the coast where the boat was docked). I tried to change, and over the years I have become better at doing more driving and less cleaning. The most influence was exerted by four years of black Corvette ownership. No way that car stayed cleaned for more than 10 minutes.

I prefer the car clean but it is a DD and it does see rain. I do wax it at least every other month with a soft wax.
I'm actually surprised that Macadamia shows as much dirt as it does, I thought it would be less visible--not as bad as black though. Pollen season followed by rain leaves some interesting markings.

I like my car clean too but no I don't washed and wipe it all the time, that would be a full time job with a black car. I tried to go 3 or 4 weeks w/o washing it, the blue one is fine the black one looks very dirty after a couple of days. I just learned to ignore it now.

Funny. While the wife is getting ready I'm typically washing the car we're going to take out lol.
