I have a Kimi Raikkonen attitude about the whole thing. If my car gets very dirty, I will probably wash it. If anyone came up to me to talk about a rag, a soap, a wheel cleaner, a wax, I'd tell them to leave me alone; I know what I am doing.

I wish elves would show up to clean it, but there is something charming about a Porsche that is clearly dirty and hot.

Guys with excessively clean cars probably need to be cuddled after sex.

I'm similar. I can't see the smudges from my favorite spot - the driver's seat - but I can see interior clutter and the like...T

Dirty. I washed it in October and, hmm, April or the beginning of May. No matter how dirty it gets it is still just a big Skittle. My bicycles I am a lot more fastidious about keeping clean though (proceeding under the idea that I may not place but there is some consolation for me in losing a race on a clean bike).

I drive the car and it gets very dirty (a lot), but I clean it too. There are those who never clean their cars and doing so the paint is etched with corrosion. Whatever lifts one's boat.

Mine is a dd, and I only wash it once every month or two, and full clay/wax once a year. Although, driving home last night, I was passing under a tree, and got hit with bird s**t on the hood and wind shield. The top was down, so it could have been much worse a second later

I like the thought about boats. We have a Cobalt boat that we have Seattle Boat pull out of the water once a year and clean/service. In between, my wife and I will say... We really need to spend a few hours one Saturday cleaning it up, but we alway seems to get there and just head out instead. We don't even have the excuse of having to drive a long way to get there, as we can actaully see it from our house.

I only take it to a good hand wash place twice a year, maybe three times a year at most. I don't daily drive it either. It looks nice clean but I don't care as much as the car being in top mechanical shape.

my car is black, so it's dirty within 100ft or 1 minute after washing it. so, no.

I love to keep the car clean, so wash it at least once every 2 weeks. I just use Adam's detail spray in between washes, not sure if that will mess up with the paint in the long run.

I own two black 911's, one for 5 years, the other for 31 years. Early on I was a fanatic about washing the older one. Over time I got into the habit of simply hosing them off right before I left the house and let the air flow dry them off. And if I come home and it's raining I'll hose off the car and let it drip dry in the garage--it's wet anyway. From a few steps away they generally look clean. In fact, my 1985 in my avatar was merely hosed off when I took the picture, and to me it looks great.

I still hand wash from time to time, and wax them each twice a year, and bird s..t is immediately cleaned off. And no road salt, ever.

That White Blue Cab is stunning. All of our cars are White. It hides age, dirt and is cooler in general in the summer months. I rinse off my car weekly and blow it off with a leaf blower. There usually are a few water streaks but dont show up unless you are looking really closely. My theory is the less physical contact the better.

My black 997s looks down right superhero-like after a wash and some detailing spray. OK, i do the wheels too and I’ll admit I can get a little obsessive. But I love to drive it soooo much that it does its share of bug control and puddle jumping. I must say do look at differently when it’s dirty. Kinda like you look at your girlfriend/wife when she’s up for something different

I wash my car once a week-ish. Often I pull into the driveway on sunday from the cottage. Wife goes in to start diner, kids unload the car. I wash the cars for the start of the week. It's the ritual. Clay bar 3-4 times a year. 2-3 good waxings, quick detail wax when I can couple of times a month. DD every car, all week. Every road is under construction. It is more likely to rain, the more cars I've cleaned. Currently have two dirty cars. Expect clear sky's for the next few days.
