Found my SONY camera in the heating vent under the passenger seat. Clunk was gone after removal.
Related?
Do be careful under that seat. Lots of sharp stuff under there...
Flash light? Or camera/phone on video with light.... send it in there for a snoop around?

OP, do you have ventolated seats, could be a loose fan motor if so? I think what the poster meant was to remove the seat 5 minutes, take a look, then reinstall, thats what I gathered form his post.

Cleared frunk and that helped about 95%. I have owners manual, compressor and extra belt, etc up front. Secured it all and not much noise at all. Not sure if I'm going to do engine and trans mounts - might as well- Sunroof rattling for sure. Exhaust gaskets between cans and cats rattling like crazy so got a set per side of car. Another adventure.

I'll add, the clunk is IN the seat AFAIK. Gonna hit some Dallas streets with hand on tranny hump and floor, BUT, I did do that on the way home and felt nothing, mostly I feel whatever it is in the seat, and it may just be the seatback rocking in whatever direction it pleases and thus the clunk. As cheap as that transmission carrier is I almost want to replace it for $200. Several cars, Jiu Jitsu, knife-forging, gun building, hunting with my longbows, and mountain bikes plus a three year old boy here- i'm turning 45 and I'm not sure I have the energy to maintain extra marital relations, beyond the *** beatings dealt out to the 25yr olds at Jiu Jitsu.
This clunk will die......stay tuned!

Are you sure it's not the passenger seatbelt latch hitting the side of the seat? I noticed that happening on mine and pushed the sliding retainer higher up on the belt so the latch doesn't hit the seat.

Yes this is a heavy solid clunk.

Had a similar issue and I hear what you are saying but there is no carpet under the seat and crap hides in there. I had a bottle. Took the Porsche mechanic three days to figure out what the noise was. About a year later another noise. Couldn't find anything, removed the seat and found a socket was rolling around and when I would stop or go it would hide under the carpet. Remove the seat

Smoke that yellow connector was completely loose. I snapped it back in place. I can tell by looking and see what's moving slightly but those metal motors under the sea I can feel however I don't understand the intensity, so maybe something else, and I guess transmission mount carrier is right there possibly the passenger side mount is gone. That destroyed mount and mounting bolt might be bouncing around in there. Nothing under the seat, I pulled it and looked. Just those metal motors.
