Default Newly purchased 997.2 c4s owner 2 questions

Pardon the ignorance here. 2 questions: one is it pretty common for 1st gear to be a little "spongy" when at a stop and getting into gear? I find myself having to let the clutch out a bit to slide into gear. The car has a new clutch performed by a porsche dealer. Car has 9500 miles on it. Is this normal for these cars?

Secondly I noticed when in 2nd gear once I hit 3000 rpms on the dot the engine changes tune and I believe I hear a solitary "click" sound from the drivetrain. This is when the engine comes alive.. Im really curious what that's about... again if it's normal.

Appreciate any constructive knowledge here.

Transmission Oil change made the issue significantly better for me but does not completely eliminate it. I've had people talk about new engine mounts also have a positive impact on this issue but that depends on if you're noticing other symptoms that might be related to worn engine mounts.

There is no ignorance here, we all learn about our cars one issue at a time

Ok so you dealt with this also. Sounds like it may just be the character of the car
