Default anyone buy/sell a 997 club coupe lately?

There's a pca member on The Mart who's asking a very strong price on his 997 club coupe (no relation).
I enjoy my club coupe, but it did make me wonder about its value. Anyone transact one lately?

I own 47 of 50. I live in Georgia. I'd sell it, but it wont come cheap, and I'm not very motivated to sell. Its tough to know what its really worth since I've only seen 1 sold, and it had very low miles on it. I'm guessing mine's worth ~$80,000 due to the miles on it. I suppose its worth what someone will pay for it. I was thinking about advertising in it Excellence Magazine. Mine has 29,500 miles on it. Its never seen rain, and stays covered in my garage most days. I take it to shows like Caffeine and Exotics and Caffeine and Octane in Atlanta from time to time. If you go to those web sites, or Google photographer David New and look at his pics, you'll see my car. Only thing I've changed is the oil, tires, and a battery. I wasn't using a trickle charger, so it died on me. Now I have one so the 2nd battery will last a lot longer. Still has the original wiper blades on it since they've never been used. Its a real head turner due to the color. Even some other 911 owners don't know what it is. Its a lot of fun to have something unique. I had a 2002 911, and this one is much faster. The handling is much better too. There's another one in Georgia that has the Aero kit on it. I've seen it at PCA events. His interior is tan, and mine is dark Grey. I found mine in Seattle where the lucky lottery winner bought it. It had 3,700 miles on it when I bought it in 2008.

Any other owners out there? I registered it with Porsche, or Excellence magazine, so they must have a record of where most of them are and who owns them, but if your not the original owner, you must register it for them to keep tabs on them.

http://www.carguychronicles.com/2012...pe-one-of.html

This article gives the quicky version of the upgrades. The biggest upgrade beyond a typical 2006 911S is the X51 power kit. It was an $18,000 option at the time. It only adds 26 hp, but the improved torque is the real deal. I think choosing a custom color was a $17,000 option in 2006, and this paints color isnt its only unique characteristic, the metal flakes are a bit larger than normal, so it glistens when the Sun hits it.

Mine also has the clearcoat bra and rear quarter panel flares to protect the paint from road rash. I dont know if that was unique to the Club Coupe or it was an option, but its effective. I think the wheels were the next costly upgrade that the Club Coupe included. I think those wheels were standard on the Turbo, and not the 911S, but I'm not an expert by any means.

Club Coupes were the fastest naturally aspirate 911's made at the time. The slightly upgraded performance with the unique head turning looks is what sold me.

I cant wait for the pollen to subside so I can take the cover off, and take it out for a spin.

A custom color in 06 was not $17,000…..$5,500 if I remember correctly and the price was the same in 2010 when I did my current PTS car.

Has ANYONE on this site found a SINGLE 2006 Club Coupe available for sale ANYWHERE? Has anyone EVER seen one for sale? If so, when, and at what price? Please share.

I've been checking the Internet regularly since 2008, and I've seen 1. This was ~3 years ago. It had ~2,500 miles on it, and it was at a dealer in Virginia or Maryland as I recall. They were asking $150,000. It must have sold at some price because the ad was removed shortly thereafter.

I think I'll place mine on EBAY, set a $80,000 minimum, and see what happens.

I would think someone like Sloan Cars would find, hold, and advertise one since he has a number of the other hard to find, high-priced models (993 Turbo Ss, 964 3.6 Flachbau cars, etc)

All kinds of fun stuff: 3.8, x51, all kinds of alcantra and leather goodness, sport chrono, and the sparkliest metal flake I've ever seen on factory paint.

We have #3 and it puts a real grin on while driving it.

PCA member in the recent Pano was asking something north of msrp for a car with a fair number of miles. It seemed like a wishful asking price, but car prices have gone nuts lately, so I was wondering.

I fail to see the value, to pay such high a price, taking into account the other Porsches available at that price range.

Circling around to this thread which I started a few months back, I see the club coupe classified is no longer listed on The Mart.
Anyone know what the outcome was?

I am interested as well. I believe potential buyers of a Club Coupe should chime in. If I had one (not far fetched) with 25K miles on it in perfect condition, will you buy it for $105,000.00? No aero kit.

Not sure I understand - are you interested in selling a car you don't have or just expressing an interest in buying one.

I see them in Panorama/Mart pretty often with very high asking prices. There's one now with 4850 on it for $125000. No idea if they actually sell.

Quick Reply: anyone buy/sell a 997 club coupe lately?
