Not a 4S, but I just bought a 2010 2S Coupe with PDK/SC, 23k miles, balance of CPO for $55k.

Based on my very recent research, $55k - $58k would be a good deal on the 2009 4S you are looking at, IMO.

I have been keeping an eye on the prices of these, and it looks like they fluctuate a bit. Cysco did get an amazing deal, I'd love to have those buckets!
The irony here is that part of the reason he got a good deal is that a lot of people don't want the buckets. Why, I'll never know unless they never sat in them and just conclude they must be uncomfortable based on how they look. Still doesn't make sense since you can sell used buckets for up to $8K and buy a set of regular seats for less than $2K.

Lots of testimonial here over the years by people who passed on -09 C4S launch cars because of the seats. Got a great price on mine too from a large Porsche dealer who even threw in a free Tubi exhaust system to move the car.

Thanks everyone for the insight and help. Im going to take a look at the car tomorrow again as it was dark when I saw the first time. Owner texted the spec sheet as follows:

342 heated front seats
267 self dimming mirrors
870 universal audio interface
680 bose high end sound package
686 xm radio
810 floor mats interior color
640 sport chrono package
541 seat ventilation
672 nav module for pcm
619 bluetooth
CUC painted model designation rear lid
498 delete model designation
XD9 rims and cap - exterior color
XRR 19 inch carrera sport wheels
CEF led door pocket lighting

not sure why there would be both the model delete and the painted model designation though. Car has black carrera 4s lettering.

I'm excited, hopefully we can get a deal done

Anyhow, can anyone tell me what the purchase or asking prices have been recently?

Also, I can't seem to PM anyone, is this because of a certain minimum posts required? Thanks for the help. I look forward to contributing soon!
Talking about the coupe manual 997.2

A good 997.2 c4s with no accidents n maint records on carfax is gonna go for 58k n up.

All the good 997.2 cars sell quick and costs more than u think.

The bad ones sit on autotrader with lower prices

A good 997.2 c2 goes for 44k to 48k.

Tough to find a better 911 car than an 09 911 997.2 manual right now bc the S model is almost 15k more...surrounded by the ims generation and the 991 non traditional 911 looks...

You are spot on with the reason for the low price being the seats. When I called the dealer about the car they said they has some "aftermarket seats". The dealer had no idea what they were and I imagine many a potential owner wouldn't know either unless they were real "porsche people".

I don't get it either. Even if you didn't want the seats, you can easily sell them for $8k, throw some sport seats in and come out with $5k in your pocket. I guess some people just don't do their research.

I sure wish I could have gotten a free Tubi exhaust. :-) I'm kicking myself for not asking.

IMO it may sometimes be well worth it to spend a few grand extra for a car with a know history/owner that satisfies you. Low mileage adds to the price for sure. After all with a cost of 50-70 grand , 5K is not the end of the world for the right car. Just a few missed maint items or issues can take your saved money away fast.
I think some of the estimates quoted here would be low for a car that meets to above requirements.

I picked up a 2009 C4S Cab last summer with 48k miles. Had an original sticker of $122k plus the previous owner then installed sports exhaust. Got it for $49k plus it was CPO'd so fresh 2 year warranty. Very happy with the car.

Which is why all these price threads are next to useless imo. They always turn into some kind of competition of who's the best negotiator and who can come up with a rationale for the lowest price. Makes you wonder how many perfectly good cars at perfectly reasonable prices have been passed up by those who read these threads. Some get downright goofy, suggesting that much above auction price is overpaying.
