In need of tires. Per TR, MPSS 305s out of stock until September, S-04s available now. Will not pay twice the price for PS2s.

I asked my stealer if they would mount non-N rated tires. Answer, No. One difference he noted was load rating of the fronts, "the S-04 front tires are designed for higher load ratings, they carry a 91Y instead of the 87Y rating." For those running S-04s, have you really felt any difference?

No, although I haven't had MPSS on this car, only my older BMW. S04's work well for me, including the rain up here in the PNW.

There are so many different factors when comparing tires (type/season, speed rating, load capacity rating, life, noise, etc (not to mention a preference of tire pressure). However, higher load rating usually means stiffer/ thicker sidewall. If you are concerned about a stiffer/less comfortable ride on 91 load rated tires (such as the S-04) versus N-rated 87 load rated tires (such as the RE050A)...don't be. I actually found the S-04s to be a really good overall choice with arguably unbeatable value (as have many others).

S-04s are great, affordable, and readily available in the sizes I want. I will probably not go back to MPSS.

S04s feel fine and such an improvement over the worn out N1 Pzeros. I don't know if one can tell the difference in load ratings. Perhaps the track guys could chime in on this.
