Beautiful car OP!! Love the red and the new wheels look great.
It's not a center lock conversion. Those are O.Z. HLT wheels...

Ya, I have a car enthusiast buddy that I sent the to and he was like "why did you spend all the money on centerlocks, what does it do for you"?
I was looking for something similar to a GT3 wheel. I didn't want black or even a really dark grey, but I wanted something darker than the typical silver wheels. I love the split 5 spoke design, but I couldn't find much outside of the extremes of spending a ton of money on HRE or buying cheaper Niche or other wheels made in asia. I finally found a set of split 5 spokes that OZ makes the Leggera HLT that I really liked and being made in Italy gave me a little more piece of mind, but they still didn't have the color I wanted (very few people make a color that is a dark silver, it seems like they are either dark anthracite, black or bright silver). As I scrolled down, I saw the Formula HLT and instantly liked them. They aren't a split 5 spoke, but more of a true 10 spoke, but the design is very similar and the color is perfect for what I was looking for and the red accents at the center kind of set it apart.

I'm on my 5th 911 and I daily drive it to work in all weather...why I traded the Gt3 on a C4S.
I have to agree that both S2000 and NSX are two of the most exciting, visceral, direct and communicative sports cars ever made by ANY manufacturer. Anyone that can't handle that is either a brand snob or hasn't driven them!
That said, I have a Ferrari 360 and I find it makes the C4S feel rather sedate by comparison. The Ferrari is just so vibrant, so loud and nimble...it's unreal.
I always enjoy driving the C4 as it's fluid and solid but for sheer thrills the F-car is hard to beat.

RodH, Welcome from another new member to the 997 club! I just purchased a 911 and I couldn't be happier. I echo your thoughts, so satisfying to drive and also to look at! Once your eye catches it, it's so hard to look away. I find myself emptying the kitchen trash a lot more often than I used to....just so I could walk by the thing in the garage on the way to the garbage can. My wife can't believe how inefficient I am about taking the garbage out, one piece at a time .
I also previously had an M3, '97 E36 with 30k miles. It was a dynamically fabulous car, so easy to drive and drive fast. Great track car too. But, it didn't conjure up the overall emotion that the 911 is capable of.
So glad we joined the club!

Great looking red 997 - what wheels are those they look awesome...
I love the feel of the 911 also being low and such good visibility looking down at the road.
Really is the best driver position and visibility in the world - i've yet to drive a sports car that puts the driver just where he needs to be like the 911. The seating position and visibility is so good it can spoil you a bit.

Great car congrats!
On the topic of power I have an 08 C2 since new, and the only time I feel it's under powered is when I am sitting here reading forums. Driving it never leaves me wanting more.
