Default Lost wheel lock today

Drove my 997 C2 home after the wheel lock socket was left on the locking lug nut and did not realize it until I noticed it was not put back in the frunk storage area. I know these have to be matched to one of 30+ combinations of possible locking sockets at the dealership. Anyone have an idea what a new locking socket costs these days?

Expensive. Drive your car to the dealer they will bring out the kit and identify which one matches. My advise is to buy 4 lug nuts and do away with the lock type lug nuts they are a pain in the *** and my leave you stranded.

Agree with SmokinGTS. Unless you leave the car parked in vulnerable areas, just go and pay the dealer to remove the locking ones and replace them with 4 regular lug bolts.

One of the vendors has recently been posting much more affordable titanium lug bolts than we've seen before. You could probably just switch them all to titanium for not a whole lot more than you'll pay for a new lock and four factory bolts (although I'd guess I'm exaggerating on this one!).

not expensive, i had my dealer get me a spare so I don't have to dig the one out of the depths of the trunk when I wanted to check my torque.

There are enough pictures of Porsche's sitting on cinder blocks to make me want to keep my locks, although, if they want your wheels enough, they will break into your trunk to get your key.

all the best...

That would be World Motorsports. No affiliation, but those who have bought seem very pleased.

x3 on the four new bolts.
Bad guys are taking your whole car, or smashing your window the get the wheel key.
First thing I do when I get a new to me car.
The only person the wheel lock inconveniences, is the owner.

These things are not expensive. I purchased 4 so that I would be able to paint them black to go with some black bolt covers and each locking bolt came with its own lock. Put a couple in a couple of places in your car, and keep another one or two in your tool box at home.

Went with four new lug bolts (997-361-203-01) for $50.62 (including tax) from Autobahn Porsche in Ft. Worth. They swapped out the locking bolts with no labor charge.
