Your entitled to prefer what you want. But if you read what he is saying, he means that it is a deal at that price if it were manual, but not so much if its a PDK. The reality is Manual cars are worth more than PDK cars, and to that end, more desirable. Different strokes.....

The Turbo that I posted should bring close to that price all day long. Switchcars typically buys the cleanest cars with good service records and no paint work which matters to some people.

Regarding the GTS with full leather, what was asking? That was exactly what I was looking for, and full leather was basically a must have for me. The only better optioned GTS I have found was a Meteor Gray over Cocoa that came up earlier this year with a $78k asking price, personally I think thats high for a GTS, I think the sweet spot is low to mid $70s, but again the spec sold that car.

Only thing rarer would be a 2010 6MT.

What are 997.2 cabs going for these days? I hope to pick one up this fall-winter and utilize the lack of demand for a good price. Or, another way to phrase it: how much of a discount should I expect off a similarly-built coupe? I am pretty well versed in the coupe market. Similar pricing for 6MT vs PDK, or is there a difference there as well? I would think that fewer cab owners are enthusiasts, and therefore perhaps the 6MT isn't as desired as it is on the coupe. But, I could be wrong. It will be my wife's DD and she loves that 6-speed box, but says the PDK is better in stop-and-go traffic.

You missed that Aqua Blue one at Porsche St. Louis last fall. That car made hearts swoon around here! Black full leather, 18-ways, yellow stitching and seat belts.

I have a 2009 997.2 C4S Cab six-speed, sport chrono. This is my second 911 cab. I bought it in January, 2017 with 27,000 miles from an individual in SoCal, so I don't know that winter helped me much with the price. I bought it for, at most, 5% ($3000) less than I probably would have paid for a comparably equipped coupe. I don't know if that was because she had to sell it and I had cash, or if the cab was in reality worth less. I think the manual transmission helped this car hold it's value, because so many were sold with PDKs. Now the enthusiasts are buying them for half-price and we like manuals. In previous discussions about pricing, I have read that nice, used cabs generally go for about 5% less.

I bought my first one, a 2002 996.2 cab six speed, from an Indy dealer in CT in February 2007, and I think winter helped me quite a bit with the price. It was about 10% less than a comparably equipped coupe would have been in nice weather. I think the small dealer did not want to sit on the car until spring in CT.

No affiliation. Seems like a good deal if it checks out.

Halperin, is it a Cab or a Coupe?
